Dance party
Whether you’re in an all-day meeting, dealing with heavy content, having a hard time concentrating or just need to let loose, a dance party break is the perfect activity to get your team moving.
How to
- It’s pretty tough to have a dance party without music! As the meeting facilitator, you’ll probably be the designated DJ. Be sure to have a playlist ready. Whether it’s pre-made from a music streaming service or one that you created, you’ll need to play something that your group can boogie to.
- Stream your computer’s audio through the meeting and play music for others to hear.
- Dance like no one’s watching!
What we like about it
Dancing is known to boost endorphins and it provides a great opportunity for social bonding within the group. Also, movement breaks in meetings boost energy, motivation and collaboration!
Tips
- Make this dance party even more collaborative by gathering song requests ahead of time or creating a joint playlist. Check out the collaborative playlist activity and invite the group to create their own playlist together.
- Introduce fun elements like party lights, props and fun costumes to bring the dancey vibes and further encourage group members to move.
